Rhubarb & Berry Spritz

Our signature Ranscombe Wild Small Batch Gin, topped up with FeverTree Rhubarb & Raspberry Tonic and garnished with Fresh Raspberries.

To create this serve, you’ll need:

– A Glass
– Ice
– Ranscombe Wild Small Batch Gin
– Fever Tree Rhubarb & Raspberry Tonic Water
– Raspberries or Strawberries

1. Fill your favourite glass with a generous amount of good quality ice (larger ice cubes will chill the drink faster and melt more slowly).
2. Pour 50ml Ranscombe Wild Small Batch Gin over the ice.
3. Top up with 150ml of FeverTree Rhubarb & Raspberry Tonic and gently stir the mixture.
4. Elevate this serve by adding a garnish of Raspberries or Strawberries.

“The concept of the Spritz began in Austrian-occupied Italy in the 1800’s, when the Habsburg soldiers found the local wine in Veneto too varied, complex and strong for their tastes, and so diluted it with Soda Water. Over time, the Italians adopted the convention and improved the idea by subtly adding their own spirits and vermouths. The result was a complex, refreshing and low-alcohol drink that is now enjoyed the world over.”

Legacy

We are reinstating the tradition of Maidstone pioneer and master distiller, George Bishop, who created quality and world-renowned spirits from our county town back in 1785. We are reclaiming our forgotten heritage to produce spirits of depth, meaning and character that we can all be proud of. He was a champion of the people and it’s time for his legacy to be tasted again.
