Join us for a drink at Bishop’s Coffee House & Bar and enjoy the impressive surroundings of our inspiring distillery, nestled beneath the grand arches of the historic Market Buildings.

Sip one of our lovingly crafted cocktails on our sun-drenched patio, or savour a luxurious G&T in the warm glow of our sparkling copper spirit still. With a stylish interior and a covered outdoor area, Bishop’s Coffee House & Bar offers the perfect setting to relax throughout the year.

Alongside our award-winning spirits and specially designed cocktails, we also serve a selection of beers and wines. Guests can now enjoy fairtrade coffees, artisan teas and indulgent hot chocolate, paired with sumptuous pastries, cakes and light bites, or a selection of delicious nibbles, our grazing plate and luxurious g’n’tea afternoon tea.

Whether you’re stopping by for coffee, cocktails or a relaxed bite to eat, Bishop’s Coffee House & Bar offers something for everyone.

A Venue Like No Other

Our venue operates table service, so sit back and relax while our dedicated front of house team look after you during your stay. Although we do warmly welcome walk-ins, larger groups are kindly recommended to make a reservation, to avoid any disappointment. We operate on a first come first serve basis. If you have any special requests or would like to reserve seating for a large group, please contact us to discuss.

Our nibbles selection includes gluten free, vegan and lactose-free options and all our spirits are allergen-free and vegan-friendly.

Maidstone Distillery can be exclusively yours for special events. With our gorgeous copper still sitting at the heart of the space, our premises makes for a beautiful and unique venue for corporate or private events. Speak to us about organising canapés, bespoke cocktails or other special requests.

Private Events

Bishop’s Bar, along with our other experiences, is available for private hire and can accommodate groups as large as 60 people.

We are able to combine elements from each of our events to create an unforgettable experience for you and your guests. We would be delighted to consider any additional requests, so please notify us of any bespoke requirements.
